EUROTRIP PART 3 – LAGO DI GARDA

Ayo!

Ayo! It’s been one crazy busy work week, so I haven’t really been able to blog, but it’s time to continue with the travel posts. Our first long stop in Italy was in Tremosine, the cutest little mountain village located next to Lake Garda, where we also welcomed all of our friends who had decided to join us on this trip. We stayed there for four days and enjoyed the hell out of the gorgeous view over the Lake Garda, drove up and down the most epic mountain road ever, and fell in love with the local nonnas. Garda tends to be quite touristy (i.e Riva del Garda, Malcesine, Sirmione), so I’m really happy that our hotel wasn’t located in one of those tourist towns. But we drove around and visited these places nonetheless and even rented a boat to go swimming in the middle of the lake. Swimming in Lake Garda can be quite unnerving actually, because it’s much deeper than the Baltic Sea and its maximum depth is almost 350 m, so you can kind of feel the depth underneath you. But anyway, we had such an awesome time there with our friends and while it was already very warm there, we were definitely not prepared for the heatwave that waited for us in Tuscany.

Where: Lago di Garda, Italy (Tremosine, Malcesine)
